ZAHID WINS UMNO PRESIDENCY

(FMT) – Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has enough support from some 146,000 Umno delegates who voted today to choose the party’s top leaders.
With some 90% of the 191 divisional votes counted, Zahid leads comfortably against his closest rival Khairy Jamaluddin.
Meanwhile, veteran Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah trails far behind, receiving only about 12% of the total divisional votes.
Zahid was the acting deputy president before he took over duties from Najib, who quit as president just days after Umno’s worst defeat in the general election last month.
He was appointed as the deputy prime minister in 2015, after Muhyiddin Yassin was sacked by Najib from the Cabinet following their fallout over 1MDB.
Zahid, a former aide to Najib when the latter was the Umno Youth chief in the eighties, had also served as deputy tourism minister, minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, defence minister and home minister.
As the Umno Youth chief, he was among those seen as critical of Dr Mahathir Mohamad during the 1997 general assembly, just a year before then deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim was dramatically sacked sparking protests in Kuala Lumpur.

TUN M PAST SCANDALS - THE MAMINCO- MAKUWASA AFFAIR

Estimated losses: RM1.6 Billion
Malaysia used to be the world’s leading tin producer accounting for 31% of the world’s output. It was a major contributor to the country’s economy providing employment for more than 40,000 people.
In 1985 the world tin market crashed with the price plunging by 50%. Many tin mines in Malaysia had to close as it was no longer economical to operate the tin mines. One of the factors that contributed to the collapse of the tin market is the ill-fated attempt by the Malaysian government to corner the tin market and to prop up the tin price.
This is the Maminco scandal that is usually found at the top of the lists of scandals and bail-outs plaguing Malaysia since Mahathir became the PM. This is probably because it was the earliest scandal occurring immediately after Mahathir became the PM in 1981. Although not the largest loss in terms of value, it still caused a loss estimated to be RM1.6 billion or more.
In this crooked scheme, a RM2 company Maminco Sdn. Bhd. was set up and was used to secretly buy tin future contracts and physical tin in order to push up prices on the London Metal Exchange. To finance its covert activities, Maminco obtained financing from Bank Bumiputra – naturally. At one point, this RM2 company was borrowing astronomical amounts from the bank – as much as RM1.5 billion.
Initially, they succeeded in pushing up the tin price artifically. But the higher prices stimulated increased tin production and resulted in the US releasing its strategic stockpile. The tin price could not be maintained at the artificially high level for long and eventually it collapsed.
Undertaking this Maminco scheme is already bad enough. But instead of admitting their mistake, Mahathir and his merry band cooked up another scheme to hide the losses incurred by Maminco from the Malaysian public. Another RM2 company called Makuwasa was set up.
The idea was new shares reserved for bumiputras allocated to EPF were diverted to Makuwasa at par value! Can you believe this? These cheaply acquired shares could then be sold for a profit at market price! Instant profits made by Makuwasa can then be used to cover the Maminco’s losses. Effectively, Makuwasa is used to raid the savings of Malaysians to help pay for Maminco’s losses!
In 1986 Mahathir publicly admitted that Makuwasa was created to recoup the government’s losses from the Maminco debacle and to repay its loans to Bank Bumiputra.
So far there was no inquiry being carried out on the loses incured, for the new shares reserved for bumiputras allocated to EPF. Until now nobody has been charge for CBT on misappropration of the said rakyat savings. Its being swept under the carpet.

MAHATHIR IS BETRAYING YOUR TRUST WITHOUT YOU KNOWING ABOUT IT

The Third Force: Pakatan Harapan pledged never to betray the trust of the people (see news item below). According to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the coalition could be toppled easily should it do anything contrary to our laws and religion. That is many a true word spoken by a man, who, together with Daim Zainuddin, spent close to two decades betraying the trust of the people without them actually knowing he was doing it.

Back in the eighties and nineties, Mahathir manipulated the Federal Constitution over and over again on the pretext that some grey areas existed. One of his many acts of betrayal was the curtailing of powers enjoyed by the Monarchical Institution. To convince the rakyat that the deed was necessary, he used the slapping of hockey coach Douglas Gomez by the then ruler of Johor as proof that the rulers in Malaysia needed to be controlled.

These excuses allowed him to treat the constitution like toilet paper that could be scribbled on any time he liked. Despite the protests, people generally believed in whatever he did and were convinced that he did it in the best interest of the country. But it wasn’t until he stepped down as Prime Minister did they begin to see him for the liar he truly was. Yet, fifteen years later, he succeeded in rebuilding their trust by keeping them glued on fake news regarding Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak and 1MDB.

By doing so, Mahathir impressed upon the rakyat that Najib was bad news for the country and needed to go. Then, the minute Pakatan won the 14th general election (GE14), he began to manipulate debt figures and convinced everyone that the country Najib left behind was going to the dogs. These arguments allowed him to plunge the economy before getting his cronies to snap up shares at dirt cheap prices.

Today, these cronies are practically the owners of mega-projects Pakatan once promised it would scrap. As long as the Prime Minister keeps you guys in slumber, he will continue to manipulate the economy and get people like Tan Sri Vincent Tan to purchase more and more shares. By the time he’s through, his cronies will have enough government linked projects to last them and their kins a lifetime regardless who becomes the next Prime Minister of Malaysia.

That, in essence, is how he is betraying your trust without you knowing about it.

LANGKAWI: The Pakatan Harapan government has pledged not to do what the previous government had done — failing to uphold the people’s trust, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today.

He said he and the Pakatan Harapan coalition could be toppled by the people if they did anything contrary to the laws and religion.

“Tell me if I cheat. I can be dropped. Likewise, the Pakatan Harapan elected representatives who cheat or do not uphold the trust can be removed as well,” he said when opening the 29th general meeting of Koperasi  Pembangunan Daerah Langkawi, here.

Dr Mahathir said the previous government had unashamedly stolen public funds and, claiming that the money was halal, had used it to sponsor people for the Haj pilgrimage.

“How can this money be regarded as halal and used for the Haj pilgrimage when it was stolen in the first place?” he asked.

Dr Mahathir said the concept of trust was also important in the management of cooperatives because it determined the success or failure of an organisation.

He said those entrusted with the responsibility to manage a cooperative should discharge their duties with sincerity and trust.

“Any work given should be done with trust. Do not take what belongs to others. Cooperatives can sustain and progress because they always make profit,” he said.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the cooperative, Juhari Bulat, said the cooperative had generated profits that had enabled the members to enjoy a 10 per cent dividend annually over the past 30 years.

Juhari, who is the state assemblyman for Ayer Hangat, said the cooperative planned to venture into resort entrepreneurship after having successfully run a petrol kiosk, premix plant, hotel and motorcycle shop.

Malaysians who voted for Pakatan Harapan are the gulliblest dumbos in the Universe, time and again Mahathir whispers softly and their ears heard the voice of the false prophet, a DEVIL in disguise of an Angel. Souls sold to the devil and they think that they bought a ticket through the Pearly Gate.

Base on what he is doing to the rakyat now, exactly that will be happen to him soon which he does not realised. I don't blame him because he is 'Melayu sudah lupa'.

THEY DON’T QUESTION ZETI, THEY JUST KEEP WORSHIPPING HER.

The Third Force: Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz knew the identities of companies and individuals who channeled RM2.6 billion into Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak’s account. She knew that the money was a gift from the Government of Saudi Arabia and not the proceeds of money laundering. It was she who advised Najib to park the money in his personal bank account and told the Managing Director of Ambank Jalan Raja Chulan to green-flag the transaction.

The above is contained in an investigation paper prepared in 2015 by the current head of the MACC, Dato’ Seri Shukri Abdull. Yet, it is Najib who seems to be bearing all the brunt of slander while Zeti is painted as an eminent person (see news item below). Not even the MACC seems bothered to investigate this lady despite her involvement in the RM2.6 billion affair.

Day by day, it is getting clearer and clearer that the former Bank Negara Governor is in cahoots with both Shukri and Dr Mahathir Mohamad to throw Najib under the bus.

KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) today confirmed Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s appointment as its new Group chairman effective July 1.

She will be replacing Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, who will be retiring as the Group chairman of PNB and Trustee of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputera with effect from June 30, 2018.

The Board of PNB also announced that Datuk Awang Adek Hussin will be retiring as director of PNB and chairman of PNB Research Institute Sdn Bhd effective June 30, 2018.

“We also announce that Tan Sri Zeti will be appointed as the Group Chairman of PNB with effect from July 1, 2018.

“Tan Sri Zeti is presently one of the members of the Council of Eminent Persons, entrusted to advise the government on matters pertaining to economic and financial matters,” PNB said in a statement.
In the statement, PNB also announced the appointment of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the chairman of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputera (YPB).

The other trustees of YPB are Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Amin Ali, Zeti and former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang.

PNB holds around RM180 billion in equity investments in Bursa Malaysia which translates to around 10 per cent of the market capitalisation of Bursa Malaysia.

Among its investee companies are Maybank, Sime Darby and UMW Holdings.

I’m really pissed off that there is no strong evidence against Dato Seri Najib. Where are the statement of JHO LOW, TAN SRI ZETI AKTAR AZIZ and etc? Trying to hide something from the Public.

The fair rule of law is loudly preached by TDM....but why Zeti not being called to facilitate further clarifications with respect to her advice to DSN that appeared in the report prepared by Shukri MACC. Didnt we not notice a crystal clear double standard rule of law been put in place here which will eventually become precedents for
many more forthcoming cases for failing to 'kow tow' to TDM.
Most of Gen X already aware or experience the way things went around btwn 1980 to 2002, and now Gen Y, Z & Alpha can see before their very eyes how brutal and merciless to fall under the iron fist leader wherein enforcement agencies are being used to penalise, humiliate, ridicule, smear, tarnish the image of unproven guilty individual. The so called fair re of law is applied on a selective basis.
May this nation be spared from another leader of this character.

"The New Dawn for Malaysia" at the rate Malaysia is moving "forward" many Malaysians are now more confused and those in dire need to survive in the rural areas are holding on to dear life. Many see an on coming train at the end of tunnel.

tornado/thypoon most likely. I live in a kampung and we rely on getah dan kelapa sawit. Most men here like to go fishing for extra money or food. Some go to the jungle to collect honeys, ulams, petai jering ect and they are getting less and less. If we do not have other income like duit pencen for pensioners or anak2 yg bekerja di bandar2 maka kami akan makan ubi kayu hari2 macam zaman Jepun. I do grow a lot of ubikayu. Pucuk ubi has no nutritious value but make you go easily.

Now he is amongst in council with Ambiga, Cynthia Gabriel & LKS to formulate reforms to be implimented by current gov't. Jesse and RPK has been harping day and night pre GE-14 about the axis of evil (zeti, abdull, mahathir) to the public realm in Malaysia, and yet, the uneducated still did not believe, and made a monumental error in judgement that will be remembered till the end of time.

Nasi sudah jadi bubur.

Be prepared.

Hatta, language is the barrier. Ordinary people read more in Malay than English. Pak Din always tries to translate the articles but only few. RJ needs to write in Malay Language too for a greater audience.

we have to do something about this. PNB is where miliions of bumiputras/rakyat put their money and trust. Malaysia is ruled by thieves and cronies and we have the ancient man the biggest penyamun of all to lead it. PDRM, SPRM are no longer efficient and trustworthy. Penyamun akan terus menyamun dan menyamun until there is nothing left to samun. I bet one of the reasons they can not arrest najib is that those people akan kena panggil beri keterangan bagi pihak pembelaan and would they lie on the stand for their boss. Imagine, former US general attorney leading the defense, the most hated man by democrats, lbg ect in the USA.

In case Najib happen to be charge in court, I hope he get a strong and reputable defence lawyer to suggest and proof to the court that this is a typical conspiracy which lead to the verdict of 'political prosecution'. For the trial, Najib lawyer should subpoena Zeti to become his defence witness. Lets see how she testified in court. She cannot lie in court based on the previous investigation paper by Shukri. This paper is very important exhibit for the trial.
