The DAP sabotaged Daim’s China trip to protect Lim Guan Eng.

According to the insider, MACC Chief Dato’ Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull told Daim soon after the meeting that the Special Task Force (STF) into 1MDB received a tip-off that somehow linked state-owned China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB) to the wealth fund and two former ministers from Barisan Nasional.
TTF has since discovered that the tip-off was from a DAP leader who faked the information to sabotage Daim’s billion-dollar negotiations with Chinese premier Li Keqiang.

On the 6th of July 2018, Malaysiakini gave us a heads up about the level of bureaucracy involved during the trip when it announced that Daim would “utilise fellow CEP (Council of Eminent Persons) member Robert Kuok’s connections in China to smoothen” renegotiations associated with the East Coast Railway Link (ECRL) project. The Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) de facto chief is not there to meet your average Joe or haggle terms with run-off-the-mill businessmen. He is there to tell Chinese premier Li Keqiang that if the People’s Republic wants to venture with Malaysia in energy and infrastructure, it has to agree with terms that involve Daim’s banking network in the South African continent and a private establishment belonging to Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary.

Daim was supposed to seal off a blanket agreement with China’s State Council regarding energy and infrastructure related projects worth some RM200 billion. The deal was supposed to be a sure thing given Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s willingness to venture with China in drilling the western edge of the South China Sea. Everything was going as planned until Dato’ Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull came into the picture. On Monday, the 18th of July 2018, the MACC head got his men to raid two Chinese state-owned entities that were involved with three mega-projects with links to China.
Daim was stumped.
So said The Strait Times Singapore, which added that the CEP elder, who came to know what happened moments before his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, “told Beijing that the raids were unfortunate.” An MACC insider who spoke to The Third Force (TTF) on condition of anonymity said more or less the same thing but added that Wang didn’t believe a word Daim said. According to him, the Chinese Foreign Minister warned the CEP elder “never to cross the diplomatic line” and accused Malaysia of intimidating China. A furious Daim called Shukri up moments after the meeting and gave the MACC chief a piece of his mind.
The most poignant of words used by Daim was this:
“Shukri, if you wanted to slap my face, you should have waited for me to come back to Malaysia.”
Strong words coming from a strong CEP man, who, according to the insider, told Shukri to arrange a top priority meeting with Mahathir upon his (Daim’s) return to Malaysia. A terribly shaken Shukri defended himself during the phone conversation by arguing that the raid was pursuant to a directive by the CEP to “zero in on anything with the slightest hint of 1MDB.” The MACC chief revealed that the Special Task Force (STF) into 1MDB received a tip-off that somehow linked state-owned China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB) to the wealth fund and two former ministers from Barisan Nasional.
The tip off was from the DAP.
What we’re sure, is that the information was fake and designed to sabotage Daim’s billion-dollar negotiations with Li Keqiang. A DAP insider who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that his ‘superior’ was not pleased with the way Daim treated Lim Guan Eng. According to the insider, the party leadership is wary of Mr Lim’s “intellectual limitations” and worried that he may be conned into signing illegitimate agreements. He revealed that there is someone in the DAP who is genuinely out to avoid any harm from coming to Lim Guan Eng.
Just for that, he thwarted Daim’s long range program to rake in some RM200 or so billion for the CEP and Mahathir to stash away in a span of one and a half years…
